Shout Mouse Press titles are youth-authored, relevant, diverse, and inclusive. The characters in these stories reflect the over 500 authors who wrote them: they are Black, incarcerated or formerly incarcerated, low-income, Latinx, Muslim, and of many other backgrounds. Their children’s picture books explore themes important to young people of all identities: belonging, self-expression, resilience, and so much more.

In celebration of Black lives, they’ve created a set of children’s picture books that focus on Black joy and imagination. These books are written by the teen authors of Reach Incorporated and explore themes of love, community, and self-expression.
