If you've had the pleasure of traveling through New Mexico in the fall - the distinct smell of green chile being roasted in parking lots and backyards fill the air. We take it so seriously that this year the Governor signed a bill naming fire-roasted green chile as the official New Mexico smell.

Bring your spiciest friend for a Hatch green chile roast complete with New Mexican fare (food and drinks). Each guest will take a little bit of New Mexico home in the form of 1 pound of roasted chile.

WHERE: SoOS supporters Michelle and Travis Austin's home in NW DC
WHEN: Chile roast will occur Saturday, August 16th or August 23rd.  The date is dependent on when the chili harvest comes in!
HOW MUCH: $60 per person
