Shout Mouse Press titles are youth-authored, relevant, diverse, and inclusive. The characters in these stories reflect the over 500 authors who wrote them: they are Black, incarcerated or formerly incarcerated, low-income, Latinx, Muslim, and of many other backgrounds. Our children’s picture books explore themes important to young people of all identities: belonging, self-expression, resilience, and so much more.

This 2021 series is authored by program participants of the Latin American Youth Center in Washington, DC, representing eight countries around the world.
